Season of Life Project

SEASON OF LIFE

On every Instagram profile, there is a space where you can describe yourself in 150 characters or less. For the last couple of years mine has always stated the same thing, “Love to document people and the season of life they are in”. This motto was the kick-starter to my personal project which I keenly named “The Season of Life Project”.

During life, we all go through some ups and downs. The low times can often feel hard, lonely and pretty dark. Sometimes the only ray of hope can be someone who lends a helping hand. I really want to reach out to those who have endured and overcome a hard season of life and donate a photo session, hoping that these sessions in some way help lighten the trials they have gone through.

AMY MILLER

Amy and I are Instagram acquaintances, we have corresponded on social media but never met in person. For years, Amy and her husband have struggled with infertility. So when I finally saw her announcement that they were expecting twins I was over the moon for them! Meeting up for photos and bridging that gap between Instagram friends and real-life friends is such a blessing.

LINDSEY KEVAN

Last Christmas, my husband received a phone call from a member of our Church letting us know that Lindsey, a young mother of five was in the hospital due to a tumor in her brain. It was quite an earth-shattering moment for myself. A day before that phone call we were opening Christmas presents and now everything seemed so insignificant. After multiple brain surgeries and overcoming many side effects from those surgeries, Lindsey is happy and healthy again. I will never forget this experience and how I witnessed how quickly life can change.

SUZY ENGLUND

Suzy is a mom of three, two here on earth and one little one in heaven. I cannot imagine what it would be like to receive the news that the baby growing in your belly has some difficulties. Receiving the news that your baby might not make it to full term and if she did, it would not survive long, if at all. Suzy and her family have experienced so much grief and loss and when I heard about her rainbow baby, I’m sure she was a little ray of light to their family.

MIKAELA MADSEN

Recently, Mikaela started a new chapter of life as a single mom. She started her adventure with a big move to a new state and a whole load of other firsts. I reached out and wanted to help her begin their fresh start right by updating their family photos to their new beautiful family. They are the cutest little team!
